I believe financial planning is fundamentally about alignment — between your wealth and your values, between today's decisions and tomorrow's legacy, between what you have and what truly matters to you.

Early in my career, I noticed that most financial advice gets reduced to portfolio size and rate of return. That framing misses the point. The clients I'm privileged to serve aren't trying to maximize a number — they're trying to live a meaningful life, support the people they love, contribute to their communities, and leave something worthwhile behind. My role is to build a plan that honors all of that.

A Different Path to Financial Planning

Before entering financial services, I served as a military intelligence officer in the U.S. Intelligence Community. That work taught me to think rigorously, weigh tradeoffs carefully, and never confuse motion with progress. Those habits shape how I approach planning today: with patience, depth, and a long view.

I began my financial services career in 2016, and have built my practice around a core conviction — that thoughtful, values-driven planning produces better outcomes than reactive, transaction-focused advice. I founded Cornerstone Private Wealth Planning to serve clients who share that conviction.

Who I Especially Enjoy Working With

While I serve clients from many backgrounds, I have a particular affinity for working with Federal employees, military service members, and veterans — communities I understand from the inside. The complexity of FERS, TSP optimization, military retirement, survivor benefits, and the unique tax considerations these populations face is meaningful work I'm proud to do well.

My Commitments to You

Three principles guide every client relationship I'm part of:

  • Always be on time. Your time matters, and showing up reliably is the most basic form of respect.
  • Do what I say I will do. Trust is built one kept commitment at a time.
  • Treat everyone with respect, regardless of circumstance. Every person who walks through my door deserves the same thoughtful attention.

Outside the Office

I'm a resident of Alexandria, Virginia, and value the fellowship and community I've found here. When I'm not working, you'll likely find me traveling, cooking, on my yoga mat, or — most often — keeping up with my two wonderful children.
